Nothing like leaving 11 for the end

I prefer to walk but that sun got me going, isn't it amazing.  Lighting the way to a great day!  1.5 miles, it's been a while.  I'm sure I'll be back to walking later.

Sideway Sunday & Faith

Now it’s just fun to post the photos sideways. 2 walks today and on the second ran into a friend who heard I was out for 5 miles in the AM, but I needed to get another mile in this evening. She said, “how do I help?” My reply, “Cash is good.” Thank you for the $20, Vicki! Faith and hard work will get you through many things. I learned the faith part late in life, and still am learning. God put her in my path to remind me.

Farmers market walk

Big hello Saturday! Started my walking weekend fundraising commitments with a 2 mile walk to Urban Harvest Farmers Market. Farm fresh eggs, organic beef, sausages and since done with Whole30, a fresh made lasagna for dinner. Who the heck knows why my photo won’t rotate but still wanted to share a picture of the market in the background and my fun fundraising adventures.

Crazy water supports hot Houston walking! Grabbed a 3.2 mile walk at lunch today! Great way to jump into a Friday afternoon and wrap up a work week!

Frist walk morning - The power of Facebook

Started with a cool 1.5 mile walk this morning since I am walking with a client and friend at lunch today.  I'm an Instagram girl but yesterday in revisiting Facebook and posting for the Ride for Myriam, one of my lovely friends immediately donated.  Then this morning, I added friends and BAM! another of my lovely friends donated.  The power of social media to change lives for a good cause is a sincere way to help us raise money.  Start today if you have not!  Check out my glamour shot from my walk today.  You old school 80's peeps know the glamour shot.  

I’m getting ready for the Randstad Ride for Myriam

When the going gets tough, the tough get going!

Everyone has been touched by cancer at one point in their lives. That’s why this September I’m getting into shape in preparation for this year’s special edition of the Randstad Ride for Myriam.

Every year many Randstad employees ride their bikes hundreds of miles from Canada to the US to raise funds for cancer research, in honor of a Randstad Canada employee named Myriam, who lost her battle to cancer.  This year more of us get to participate physically in the ride / walk from our own neighborhoods.  I will be walking a minimum of 40 miles from the Sept. 10th-25th to support cancer research and raise funds.  Can I walk for you too, and celebrate the life of someone you know who had cancer?  Please donate to my page!
