My first Ride for - Every Fighter Who Deserves a Tomorrow

Life has a way of taking us on unexpected journeys. Sometimes, the only choice we have is to keep moving forward — even when the path is filled with uncertainty

One day, everything is normal — the next, a diagnosis turns your world upside down. In mid-year 2023, someone dear to me began a deeply personal journey with breast cancer. It’s a story marked by pain and fear, but also by remarkable resilience, creativity, and grace.

In the middle of the hardest days, she turned to what brought her peace: art. Through painting, stitching, cooking — through every creative act — she found healing. Guided by mentors and inspired by tradition, she poured her strength into every brushstroke, every pattern. Art became her sanctuary — a way to process, reflect, and move forward.

Her journey reminded me that healing doesn’t always look like medicine. Sometimes it looks like expression, imagination, and the quiet courage to keep going.

This September, I’m riding in honor of her and everyone whose lives have been touched by cancer. The Ride for Myriam supports vital cancer research at the Canadian Cancer Society — research that saves lives and gives people like my friend a fighting chance and a hopeful future.

Every donation supports that mission. Every dollar is a step closer to new breakthroughs and better treatments.

Join me. Support the ride. And help carry forward stories of survival, healing, and hope.
